Aum Namo Bhagavathe Shri Ramanaya
The Sunday Spiritual Luncheon of the 3rd Sunday of every month was held today at Saraswathy Illam – Ramanalayam. The proceedings began with the recitation of Arunachala Akshara Mana Malai, followed by a recitation of a song on Ramana written and sung by Mr Gnanabalasundaram describing Ramana as a resident of Kadduvan, in Sri Lanka.
Prof Balasubramaniam addressed the gathering on the importance of the spiritual wellbeing of an individual, as much as the physical wellbeing. Following that, Mr Visaghnathan, a resident of Ramanalayam, Sri Lanka, who had recently returned after spending a month in Thiruvannamalai, gave an account of his personal experience during his yatra.
The sharings were followed by the pooja and the offering of flowers. The day’s proceedings ended with a nutritious and simple lunch. A group of German visitors to the Ashram were also present at today’s gathering.
Today’s luncheon was sponsored by Mrs Sasikala Kathirgamanathan (UK) in remembrance of her parents; Mr Alalasundaram and family (UK) in remembrance of their parents Surveyor Sinnappoo and Annamma, Mr Muthubalasooriyar and wife Karpagam and Mr Richie Amirthalingam; and Mr Vigneswaran and family in remembrance of their parents, Ilayathambi and Packiam and Sabapathy and Theivayanai.
